1936 Rolls Royce 25/30 Open Tourer
Our 1936 Rolls Royce 25/30 open tourer, was bodied by Horsefields of Halifax, her design was largely inspired by the renowned Barker Barrel bodied Rolls Royces of the 1920s. She looks very regal and would have been used by a very stately figure in her day. Although she was not always bodied like this, originally she was coach built with a limousine body, however as World War 2 broke out and more ambulances were required, she later was changed to an ambulance body, after the war she was of little use and was sat for many years, most likely heading for scrap. However in the 1960s when these cars were undesirable Derek Horsefield bought her and re-bodied the car, with the touring body she has today. Finished in cream, with red leather trim she is very eye catching. With the elegant flowing lines of the panel work, the chrome and the classic 1930s features she is sure to grab attention.
